Solano County Released Inmates
A county jail release means the person has left Solano County Sheriff's Office custody. That may be a release on bail, a court-ordered release, time served, a sentence completion, a transfer, a local custody alternative, or a move into probation, PRCS, or parole supervision. The active Solano Sheriff in-custody locator is useful while a person is held, but the research source labels it as in custody. Once the person is gone from that roster, absence is a lead, not proof.
Solano is unusual because the county also contains California State Prison, Solano and California Medical Facility. A person released in Solano County may be a county jail release from Fairfield or a state-prison release from Vacaville. The first question is the operating agency. Sheriff records, booking logs, VINE, and Solano Superior Court records handle county jail events. CDCR CIRIS, CDCR records, Board of Parole Hearings pages, DAPO parole, and county PRCS handle state-prison events.
Solano County Release Paths
Release type controls where the next record appears. A bond-out can happen before the case is resolved. A time-served release points back to jail booking and court sentence records. A transfer may move the person into CDCR, BOP, ICE, or another county system. A person on probation, PRCS, or parole has a supervision record that is distinct from the jail release itself.
| Release path | What it means | Best Solano record source |
|---|---|---|
| Bail or bond | The person leaves custody while the case continues. | Solano court bail information and sheriff release record. |
| Time served | The jail term or custody credit satisfies the sentence. | Court disposition and Records/Warrants Bureau. |
| Transfer | Custody changes agencies or facilities. | Sheriff record, court order, CDCR, BOP, or ICE locator. |
| PRCS, probation, or parole | Custody ends but supervision may begin. | Solano Probation, CDCR DAPO, or BPH records. |
Solano County Release Records
A release record is the formal source for the time and manner of release. California Government Code section 7923.610 lists public arrest information that can include booking date and time, charges, bail, current holding location, and the time and manner of release, unless a safety or investigation exception applies. It does not mean every old packet stays online.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Booking date and number | The custody event to match with the jail log or court case. |
| Facility | Justice Center, Claybank, Stanton, ATC/ASP, or another agency. |
| Charges and warrants | The public charge list or hold basis tied to the booking. |
| Release time and manner | Bond, court order, sentence complete, transfer, or other public release path. |
| Court case | The branch, prefix, disposition, sentence, or next court action. |
Request Solano Release Records
For county jail release and booking-photo questions, start with the Solano Sheriff Records/Warrants Bureau. The research file lists 707-784-7010, SHFRecords@SolanoCounty.gov, and 530 Union Avenue, Suite 100, Fairfield, CA 94533. Custody booking information is listed at 707-784-7112.
- Identify the person with name, date of birth if known, booking number, arrest date, or arresting agency.
- Ask for public booking and release information, including release time, release manner, facility, charges, and any public transfer destination.
- Use the Sheriff public records request route if the bureau cannot provide the record informally.
- For the legal reason behind the release, search the Solano court portal or request court records from the branch that heard the case.
Solano Superior Court records have their own copy rules. The records page lists a $15 name-search fee if a search takes over 10 minutes, $0.50 per page or side, $40 certified copies, and $40 for a Certificate of Discharge of Bail Bond. Court file review happens at the branch where the hearing occurred.
Find Released Solano Inmates
The clean search path starts with current custody, then moves to records that survive release. Check the Solano in-custody locator first. Its verified grid fields include Facility, Inmate Number, Inmate Name, DOB, and Projected Release Date. If the person is not listed, compare that with the Jail Booking Logs, VINE, court records, and records requests.
A released person usually drops off the live jail roster. Use disappearance from the roster as a prompt to verify, not as the final record.
- Search the live Solano Sheriff in-custody locator by name, or use Search All when the current roster needs to be scanned.
- Review the jail booking logs for the seven-day public booking window compiled in 24-hour periods.
- Use Solano VINE instructions for custody status and release notification.
- Search Solano Superior Court records for bail, sentence, dismissal, probation, warrant, or transfer action.
- Switch to CDCR CIRIS if the person was housed in a state prison.
Solano Recent Release Limits
Solano did not show a separate official 24-hour or 72-hour release roster in the research sweep. The county source is broader and narrower at the same time: it covers recent bookings for the last seven days, compiles data in daily periods, and refreshes at midnight. It is not labeled as a release list. That means 24-Hour Releases and 72-Hour Releases must be read as workflows, not as promises of a distinct official feed.
Solano also notes that users may need to disable a pop-up blocker for the booking-log page. If a generated log contains release information, record the time and manner exactly. If it only confirms a booking, use the date as an anchor for the sheriff, court, or VINE follow-up.
Solano Court Case Clues
The court record often explains why the release happened. Solano's records page gives a local clue: Fairfield, Suisun City, Vacaville, Dixon, and Rio Vista criminal violations can begin with F, FC, FCR, or M. Vallejo and Benicia cases can begin with V, VC, VCR, F, or M. Those prefixes help connect an arrest city, a booking-log entry, and the correct court branch.
The Fairfield criminal branch is the Hall of Justice at 600 Union Ave. The Vallejo criminal branch is the Solano Justice Building at 321 Tuolumne St. Court records can show bail, sentence completion, probation, dismissal, warrant recall, or a transfer order. They are often more durable than a jail web page.
CDCR Search for Solano Releases
CDCR CIRIS is for the California incarcerated population, not the Solano jail roster. Use it when the person was sentenced to or housed in CDCR, including California State Prison, Solano or California Medical Facility. The state service page says CIRIS results include name, CDCR number, age, current location, commitment counties, admission date, and Board of Parole Hearing dates and outcomes for people currently in CDCR custody.
| System | Use it for | Do not use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Solano Sheriff locator | Current county jail custody. | Final proof of a past release. |
| Jail Booking Logs | Recent booking events in the seven-day window. | A permanent release archive. |
| CDCR CIRIS | California state-prison custody and BPH data. | County jail bookings. |
| BOP locator | Federal sentenced custody from 1982 forward. | Local Solano jail releases. |
Solano Post-Release Supervision
Solano's supervision landscape includes Adult Probation, Pretrial Services, the Community Corrections Partnership, Alternative to Custody, and the Center for Positive Change. CDCR PRCS material explains that some people released from CDCR go to county supervision instead of DAPO parole. Solano Probation is therefore a key local contact for probation, mandatory supervision, and PRCS, while CDCR DAPO handles state parole.
The Fairfield Probation office is listed at 475 Union Ave with 707-784-7600. The court resource listing also identifies a Vallejo branch at 321 Tuolumne St with 707-553-5531. Use Post-Release Supervision when the question is no longer custody status but which agency received the person after release.
VINE Federal and ICE Checks
VINE is a custody-status and notification tool for participating agencies. Solano publishes local instructions that route users to California, CA_MULTICO, County, Solano County, then name search and Detail. Registering before release is the strongest use because VINE can send notice when custody status changes. Use VINE Inmate Check for the exact Solano steps.
Federal and immigration cases follow different tools. BOP records from 1982 forward can show a federal release date or "Released" status. ICE's locator is for immigration custody and may matter if a Solano jail release is followed by an immigration transfer or notification. Vallejo Sun reported a narrow local ICE-notification issue in 2025, but that does not make ICE part of ordinary Solano releases.
Dismissal Relief and Mugshots
Solano Superior Court publishes local forms for Penal Code sections 1203.4 and 1203.4a dismissal relief. That court process can affect public court access and post-disposition status, but it does not automatically erase every booking trace, booking photograph, or third-party mirror. A source-by-source correction or removal request may still be needed when a public page is wrong or no longer legally proper.
California law also treats booking-photo publication with care. The Attorney General's 2024 booking-photo alert discusses Penal Code section 13665 restrictions on law-enforcement social-media posting and a removal rule for covered posts. For photo-specific research, use Mugshots of Released Inmates.
Solano County Custody Systems
Solano release research should follow the facility first. Justice Center, Claybank, Stanton, and Alternative to Custody are sheriff or court-local paths. California State Prison, Solano and California Medical Facility are CDCR paths. Court records, VINE, BOP, and ICE are separate systems that become relevant only when the facts point there.
Solano Release Term Meanings
Several short terms appear across Solano release records. Reading them correctly prevents a current-custody lead from being mistaken for a completed release.
- Discharge
- Custody or supervision has ended under the controlling order or agency record.
- Time served
- Custody already served satisfies the jail sentence or court-ordered term.
- Detainer
- Another agency has a hold or request that can affect release or transfer.
- PRCS
- Postrelease Community Supervision, a county supervision path for some CDCR releases.
- Transfer
- The person leaves one custody system but may enter another facility or agency.
